Employee Safety Responsibilities
Every electrician contracted through Service Pro US is responsible for upholding our safety standards:
- Follow all established safety standards, site-specific procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
- Properly use and maintain all provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents to their supervisor and Service Pro US.
- Actively participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Employer Partner Safety Commitments
We partner with employers who share our commitment to safety. Employer responsibilities include:
- Providing a safe working environment, free from recognized hazards, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
- Offering site-specific safety orientation and any necessary job-specific safety training and resources.
- Effectively monitoring and enforcing compliance with all applicable safety policies and regulations on site.
- Collaborating with Service Pro US on incident investigations and corrective actions.


Comprehensive Safety Training
Our electricians receive thorough safety training, including:
- Mandatory safety instruction for all new hires and contractors.
- Regular refresher courses on current electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices.
- Specific training in the selection, use, inspection, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, as appropriate for their roles.
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical hazard recognition.
Proactive Risk Prevention Strategies
- Risk Identification: Thorough identification of potential risks in diverse electrical work environments, covering common hazards (e.g., live circuits, improper grounding) and less frequent but critical dangers.
- Risk Analysis and Assessment: Detailed analysis of the severity and probability of each identified risk, crucial for prioritizing effective mitigation strategies and resource allocation.
- Risk Control Measures: Implementation of robust control measures to eliminate or minimize risks, including safe work procedures (SWPs), job hazard analyses (JHAs), mandatory use of appropriate PPE, and strict adherence to electrical isolation and lockout/tagout techniques.
- Specialized Risk Prevention Training: Delivery of targeted risk prevention training programs for electricians, ensuring all personnel are proficient in identifying, assessing, and managing risks pertinent to their specific tasks and work environments.
- Emergency Response and Preparedness: Establishment and regular rehearsal of comprehensive emergency response plans for various scenarios (e.g., electrical shock, fire), including first aid, evacuation routes, and emergency notification protocols.
- Continuous Monitoring and Review: Ongoing monitoring of risks in all workplaces and regular review and updating of prevention strategies to adapt to new site conditions, technologies, or regulatory changes.
- Clear Risk Communication: Effective communication of risk information to all workers through various channels, including clear signage, warning labels, pre-task briefings, toolbox talks, and formal safety meetings.
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement: A steadfast commitment to the continuous improvement of our safety management system, fostering a proactive safety culture and ongoing learning across the organization.

Incident Reporting and Corrective Actions
We have a clear and straightforward process for reporting all safety incidents, near misses, and hazards. This includes:
- Immediate reporting to the site supervisor and Service Pro US safety coordinator.
- Thorough investigation of all reported incidents to determine root causes.
- Implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
- Sharing lessons learned across the organization to enhance overall safety awareness and practices.
Employees who suffer an injury at work must report to their site supervisor and Service Pro US representative immediately to ensure proper medical attention and incident documentation.

Employees who suffer an injury at work must report to their site supervisor and Service Pro US immediately after the accident. We will promptly address legitimate claims and have a workers' compensation insurance that will pay for medical expenses and wages, where applicable. We have extensive experience in investigating claims and will fight against those that are fraudulent with all our available resources.
